McCumber represents clients in matters involving complex commercial litigation and financial services litigation in state and federal courts. His experience includes matters involving contested mortgage foreclosures, breach-of-contract actions, title litigation, the collection of book accounts, and bankruptcy litigation.
“Jason’s experience serving financial services industry clients is a particular asset to our Commercial Litigation practice group, and his experience strengthens our existing team in the northeast. In addition, McCumber has experience with business disputes, construction liability matters, civil Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act (RICO) laws, fraud, and conspiracy. He has also prepared loan agreements, promissory notes, security agreements, guaranties, and collateral assignments of leases.
McCumber received his J.D. from Vermont Law School in 2011 and is a 2008 graduate of Ohio University. During law school, McCumber served as a summer law clerk for the Honorable Peter B. Abele of the Ohio Fourth District Court of Appeals.
McGlinchey Stafford’s New York City office was established in 2014 to better serve the legal needs of key clients in the Northeast region in the areas of financial services, business, general civil litigation, and bankruptcy, and has a current headcount of 12 attorneys. The firm also has an office in Albany, with four attorneys.
