Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been married for exactly one year and two months, and within this period, the latter’s popularity shoots up a hundred-fold compared to when she was still an actress in Hollywood. She did not get much attention when she was still acting, but after she was linked to the prince, her name started to become household knowledge.
While this is the kind of popularity that most actors would want, now that she has it, does Meghan like the attention she is receiving as part of the royal family? The answer could be negative because in her case, she has been getting lots of criticisms, and the media also wrote many bad stories about her.
The negative reports about the Duchess
Since marrying Prince Harry, Meghan Markle has been put on spotlight even more, and since the press like to look for anything controversial or shocking to report about her, a number of bad press stories have emerged and this includes the nasty feud that she has with her own family specifically her sister Samantha Markle and her own father, Thomas Markle.
In other words, there is rarely a time when a day will pass with no negative news about her, and this is only her first year as a Duchess. Besides this, the media also try to create animosity between her and other members of the royal family like Kate Middleton and Queen Elizabeth.
Some British tabloids also attack her character and calling her a “diva” and having a difficult character that is why her personal assistants are quitting when they have only been with her for no longer than two months.
Meghan’s struggles with the royal life
People reported that overall, Meghan Markle is struggling to cope with her new life as a royal. This is because she is finding it hard to get used to the criticisms, plus there are many protocols to follow which stress her out.
Meanwhile, Prince Harry is putting an effort to make his wife comfortable in the palace. In fact, they moved out of the Kensington Palace and now living in Frogmore Cottage located outside of London. They decided to live here so that they will have a more private life and could live as normal citizens.
