It is common knowledge that First Lady Melania Trump is a very private person, and with her secretive nature, the media continues to try and find more details about her life as First Lady and wife to US President Donald Trump. A new report reveals just how influential Melania is over her husband compared to the rest of his family and his advisors.
As reported by Express, CNN White House reporter Kate Bennett, who is also the author of the book “Free Melania: An unauthorized biography,” revealed some details about the First Lady, including how much hold she had on her husband. According to Bennett, Melania arguably had more power and influence over Donald than the rest of his family and more than anyone else in the White House. Bennett also went on to say that Melania does not care about what anyone thinks of her.
“Whether people assume that she is complicit in Trump’s beliefs and actions by being married to him and staying married to him or whether they think she is standing by his side because she is a noble adherent to traditional marriage, it doesn’t matter to her,” Says Bennett.
When it came to what Melania was really like, Bennett claimed that Melania approached her role as the First Lady like any other job. As far as her daily routine was concerned, Bennett explained that Melania is essentially living a “wealthy woman’s life” as a stay-at-home mother with three houses. Being a homemaker within the White House is something Melania reportedly takes very seriously.
From going over the guest lists for the upcoming events at the White House or Presidential activities to picking out the right decorations, to even going over table arrangements for the holidays, Melania reportedly makes sure this is all done.
Because of the First Lady’s very private nature, Bennett still had to refrain from including details that may be too personal, or details that might potentially destroy the relationships Melania has with her very small circle of trusted friends and advisors. Nevertheless, the final copy that was published was met by criticism from the White House, saying that there are details about the book that were inaccurate. However, Bennett had already expected that the First Lady would not take too kindly to the book, but she said that it is a “fair portrayal” of what Melania is really like.
