Michael Schumacher’s fans are not amused with a joke made by popular YouTube personality Benni Wolter. He made fun of the racing legend’s catastrophic accident and such an insensitive action offended many fans.
They are furious and they made sure that the “World Wide Living Room” show host knows it. In the comments of the YouTube video where Benni Wolter mentions Michael Schumacher and his accident, they expressed their thoughts which should make him realize that his joke was not funny at all.
According to Express, in a live episode of Wolter’s “World Wide Living Room” which features another YouTube star, named Felix, he said, "Small advice from us, Felix: If the mountain of work at some point to become too much, then do it like Schumi and just pop it. Then you have your peace."
Apparently, Benni Wolter said this as a piece of advice to Felix, who people said will burn out anytime because of his very busy schedule.
The segment garnered furious reactions and comments. One said, “I think you’re really funny most of the time, but the Schumi example was really filthy and under the hood.”
Others pointed out that the Michael Schumacher joke was really bad and inappropriate. It was too much that they told Benni Wolter off, saying, “Shame on you for kidding about this.”
As the angry comments piled up, the YouTuber’s co-host, Dennis, posted an apology that states, “In this video, Benni made a tasteless joke about Michael Schumacher. It was and he knows it. He says sorry.”
The Michael Schumacher joke was referring to the racing champ’s skiing accident that left him with grave injuries. He suffered from fractures and a serious brain injury in December 2013 after a bad fall while skiing in the French Alps.
Michael Schumacher was in a coma after the accident but he was said to have woken up. But unfortunately, his health condition on this day is still unknown as his family continues to keep it a strictly guarded secret.
