One of the highly anticipated anime series premieres this year is “My Hero Academia” season 4. And since the anime is merely adapting the plots of the manga series, anticipating fans can get an inkling of what's to happen next, especially in the first episode.
The season 3 finale episode practically covered the story's transition from the Promotional Hero License Exam arc to the Internship arc. To fans not familiar with the manga, the Internship storyline focuses on the Hero program or Hero Internships where the students get to work off-campus under the wing of a professional hero. This is what “My Hero Academia” season 4 is expected to focus on.
Fans must not confuse the Hero Internships with Field Training. The latter, though allows the students to get an off-campus experience, is done in a controlled environment. In “My Hero Academia” season 4, the students will work alongside certified heroes, which means they could also face real danger and earn real experience.
One of the biggest highlights before “My Hero Academia” season 4 was the introduction of the Big 3 to Class 1-A. The group is famously known for being the best-performing students in the Hero Internships composed of third-year students Mirio, Tamaki, and Nejire. As one of the characters said, these three are the closest to being professional heroes in the entire academy.
After the students met with the Big 3 and experienced their bizarre and rather questionable methods of teaching, the season 3 finale introduced the next big baddie. Aside from the internships, “My Hero Academia” season 4 is expected to focus on Overhaul and the League of Villains.
By the end of season 3, Overhaul was seen being interviewed by existing members of villain group. But despite being a newcomer, he is going to be the main antagonist for “My Hero Academia” season 4 that will premiere sometime in October.
