Anime fans who are looking forward to seeing “My Hero Academia” season 4 do not have to live in uncertainty anymore. Though they still have to wait a while, it is still a piece of good news that they now know its release date window. And to those who do not mind getting a few spoilers of the upcoming episodes, they can always check on the stories to come by revisiting the manga series.
Back in last December, producers and the animation studio Bones revealed the official promo video for “My Hero Academia” season 4. Along with it was the announcement that the anime series will be back in October this year.
Fans may notice that it is several months late compared to its consistent April release dates in 2015 to 2018. So it is possible that the promo video was revealed that early to quash fans’ expectations that “My Hero Academia” season 4 will arrive this month. As of now, Bones has not yet provided a specific release date for season 4. But it will most likely happen not earlier than August or September.
The factor that led to this new premiere schedule remains a mystery. But, as reported earlier, there are two possible reasons. First, it is speculated that Bones workload made them decide to take a few more months to finish “My Hero Academia” season 4. Second, it is also likely that the producers and the Japanese network Nippon TV (where the series is being distributed) has given its usual April slot to a new series called “MIX.”
As for the plot, “My Hero Academia” season 4 is expected to explore the Internship arc. In the manga series, this is where the students apply for programs where they would be working in the real world and closely with a real hero.
Fans will also learn more about the character named Overhaul, who is expected to become “My Hero Academia” season 4’s main villain. Season 3 ended with a preview of his alliance with the League of Villains.
