It would be the most obvious thing to say in the world that a lot of anime fans are looking forward to the premiere of “My Hero Academia” Season 4. However, some devastating news just came out from behind the scenes even as production for the season is ongoing. It would seem that a voice actor for one of the characters is going on leave for cancer treatment. Could this affect the anime’s premiere schedule?
It is always a sad development to hear about anyone getting sick, but the case of Saki Ogasawara, the voice actor of Itsuka Kendo is particularly devastating. Even as positive developments as the creator of the series praising “Avengers: Endgame” is happening, as Comic Book reports, this news drives reality home. With this being the case, one of the questions now is how this development will affect “My Hero Academia” Season 4.
For the most part, with Kendo being a relatively small role in the upcoming season, it’s likely that the voice actress does not have many lines with her. As such, it’s quite possible for Ogasawara to simply return a few months later and finish the recording. In the meantime, the folks working on “My Hero Academia” Season 4 will simply have to toil away as they usually do in an effort to meet fan desires.
There is no doubt that “My Hero Academia” Season 4 is going to be packed with action and drama, especially if it remains faithful to the events in the manga. There are going to be some sacrifices made, but one upside is that fans will finally see the full extent of Deku’s power.
For now, the premiere period of “My Hero Academia” Season 4 still remains around October. If the schedule holds true, fans should be able to watch more episodes again in a few months.
