“My Hero Academia” season 4 is coming this fall, and this was already confirmed at the 2019 San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC). The anime will return alongside “Food Wars” and other less known but worthy of watching series that include “Dr. Stone,” “Fire Force” and “Astra Lost In Space.”
“My Hero Academia” season 4 is returning with a new villain, and he was already introduced in the last season’s finale. He was identified as Overhaul, and he left great impressions to the viewers when he wreaks havoc last time and just totally displayed his villainous streaks.
Details about Overhaul, the villain
Kellen Goff, the voice actor, is portraying Overhaul in “My Hero Academia” season 4 shared some details about his character. In his interview with Comic Book, he said that this new villain is different from the known baddie in the anime, Shigaraki.
Goff shared that, Overhaul’s possesses traits make him look like a typical Yakuza crime lord. And these Japanese baddies have a long history that goes way back for many decades, so they are really the type of classic outlaws.
"Overhaul's interesting in that he, he comes from the Yakuza which are a very, in this universe, they're a very old world thing,” Goff said. “When Quirks were introduced, all the organized crime was cracked down on. "But he's one of those like those rats that, that burrowed a little hill, and now he's trying to bring the Yakuza back into the light."
What makes Overhaul different from Shigaraki
Goff explained that Overhaul in “My Hero Academia” season 4 is amazingly persistent which Shigaraki is not. In battles, he is willing to go far and do more to give his opponent a difficult fight, and so far, he is the only villain who has this kind of attitude.
English version of the anime series
Meanwhile, as Polygon reported, Funimation is releasing the English dubbed version of “My Hero Academia” season 4. The first trailer already gave a glimpse of the English version of the manga during the SDCC 2019.
“My Hero Academia” season 4 is coming to the small screen this Oct. 12.
