Several new characters, both on the hero and the villain sides, are going to be introduced once “My Hero Academia” season 4 premieres later this year. But among all these new faces, fans should be most excited about two characters in particular — FatGum and Overhaul — become part of the anime adaptation.
‘My Hero Academia’ season 4 plot: Who is Overhaul?
Of these two characters, the introduction of Overhaul in “My Hero Academia” season 4 is the most anticipated. He already made his first appearance during the season 3 penultimate episode that hinted at him being the main antagonist in the upcoming series installment.
Overhaul, whose real name was Kai Chisaki, is best known as the Yakuza of the Shie Hassaikai group that means Eight Precepts of Death. The storyline to be tackled in “My Hero Academia” season 4 is based on the manga’s arc named after Overhaul’s group. That alone shows Overhaul’s major role in the continuation of the anime series.
Being a bad guy, Overhaul will be seen in “My Hero Academia” season 4 setting up meetings with the League of Villains. However, the Yakuza does not fancy being regarded as a mere follower and prefers for the League of Villains to submit to his command. So their first meeting is going to be very interesting and will establish who should be the bad guys’ boss.
‘My Hero Academia’ season 4 release date, characters: FatGum — a new hero
New heroes are also going to be introduced in “My Hero Academia” season 4. Fans are likely most excited about the arrival of Taishiro Toyomitsu a.k.a. FatGum because of his very pleasant and cheerful personality.
FatGum’s hero name says so much about his unique abilities. He will be known for his Fat/Energy Absorption quirk. As a person, Taishiro is always looking for food to eat, giving him his big body build. And as a hero, he can use his body to “absorb” objects into his skin while his body fat can store kinetic energy that he can use during fights. “My Hero Academia” season 4 will premiere on Oct. 12.
