The official launch of “NBA 2K20” was eventful and disappointing to many fans of the game. However, to be fair to the developers, they have been addressing the gameplay issues little by little just like when they recently released a small patch to improve players’ experience in the Neighborhood mode.
‘NBA 2K20’ gameplay update: Devs address some issues in the Neighborhood
One of the latest fixes that developers issued for “NBA 2K20” addresses a bug in the Neighborhood game mode. With the patch, released last week, players should no longer experience the game freezing whenever they leave the Neighborhood.
Developers admit that this is just a “small patch update,” but they also promised they are preparing more updates to improve the overall “NBA 2K20” gameplay. This is also not the first patch that devs have released since the game went live on Sept. 6.
Small patch update as we continue our efforts to improve 2K20 ????

???? Fixed the game hanging when attempting to leave the Neighborhood (via exiting to the main menu, playing your next NBA game, etc) after previously viewing the animation store
Over a week since the game’s official released, developers issued more patch notes at once to address a series of “NBA 2K20” bugs reported. One of the most common issues is the game crashing or hang intermittently when opening various game modes and accessing several menus.
Some reported bugs on the MyCAREER and MyPLAYERS modes were also addressed. There was also an exploit in “NBA 2K20’s” MyTEAM that previously allowed gamers to assign a player to a position not included in its description. Many gamers were also disappointed after not receiving their rewards in MyTEAM matches; luckily, these issues have been fixed.
Developers still have many things to fix, but delivering these patches is still an improvement compared to the game’s state on day 1. Online sentiment showed more players were disappointed as soon as they tried “NBA 2K20” that #Fix2K20 hit the Twitter’s Trending page shortly after the game’s launch.
‘NBA 2K20’ Global Championship kicks off next month
Visual Concepts and 2K Games should deliver most of the necessary gameplay updates and improvements in the coming weeks, especially after the first-ever “NBA 2K20” Global Championship was announced. The developers are collaborating with the NBA, the NBA Players Association, and the well-known eSports company ESL for the five-month spectacle.
The “NBA 2K20” starts in October and is slated to conclude on February 2020. There are more than $100,000 in prizes that await the winners. Local qualifiers round and playoffs will happen in three major regions such as the Americas, Europe, and Asia-Pacific.
