“NCIS” Season 16 is still currently in production mode, so fans of the series will only have to wait a little more to see what their favorite team is up to next. However, some details are still worth looking into, such as the fact that the first episode of the season is already done filming. The title for the second episode has been revealed, as well. On that note, at least one member of the cast is going to have their work cut out for them.
Confirmation for the supposed wrap-up for episode one of “NCIS” Season 16 came via a Tweet by writer Scott Williams with regards to episode two. The post comes with a photo that contains quite a bit of foreshadowing of what is going to happen in the second episode. Williams also revealed the title of E2 as “Love Thy Neighbor.”
“@NCIS_CBS Season 16 ep356 “Love Thy Neighbor” day 3. Name that foreshadower!” the Tweet’s caption reads.

Since filming for the second episode is still going on, it’s safe to say that the work for “NCIS” Season 16 is far from over. Speaking of work, this season is also going to be a significant challenge for actress Diona Reasonover who will be playing the character, Kasie Hines.
Kasie will act as the replacement for Abby Sciuto since Pauley Perrette had already left the show. As the goth extraordinaire who also happened to be a peppy genius, Abby was the heart of NCIS, TV Insider notes. As such, her absence will be palpable in “NCIS” Season 16. This is where Diona Reasonover’s job is going to get quite tricky.
Fans of the show, and specifically Abby, will be watching the actress’ performance quite closely. Although Kasie is quite the oddball herself, it can be challenging to keep a right balance to avoid going into cringe territory. Pauley Perrette managed to keep this balance with Abby admirably well. Viewers will just wait for the premiere of “NCIS” Season 16 on Sept. 25 to see how Kasie fits with the crew.
