In the previous installments, visits from well-loved recurring characters are always a hit among fans. “NCIS” season 16 episode 4 will be one of these moments as two familiar faces arrive uninvited next week.
The teaser for “NCIS” season 16 episode 4 reveals that Tobias Fornell (Joe Spano) and Phillip Brooks (Don Lake) are going to gatecrash Gibbs’s (Mark Harmon) alone time. On a rare occasion, Gibbs goes on a “quiet vacation” in “NCIS” season 16 episode 4. But knowing Fornell and Phillip, nothing is quiet when these two are around.
Based on the “NCIS” season 16 episode 4 synopsis, Fornell and Phillip arrive without letting Gibbs know first, which is going to be an interesting scene on its own. The teaser also mentions that Gibbs chooses to be in his “remote cabin” for the said vacation.
Fornell is very familiar with this place. Back in season 12, this was where Gibbs brought Fornell for a mini-retreat after his ex-wife, Dianne, was assassinated by Russian terrorist Sergei Mishnev. And the surrounding woods was where Fornell sought revenge so “NCIS” season 16 episode 4 is most likely going to be a good episode to bring back the former FBI agent.
Apart from the surprise visitors, Gibbs vacation will also be interrupted in “NCIS” season 16 episode 4. The episode summary also reveals that NCIS HQ will be calling on Gibbs for help.
The rest of the team will be tracking down a robber, which is most likely the focus of their case in “NCIS” season 16 episode 4. Coincidentally (though Gibbs does not believe in coincidence), their suspect is hiding in the woods where the remote cabin is.
Maybe, in the end, Gibbs will be thanking Fornell and Phillip for crashing his vacation since now he has friends to watch his six. Meanwhile, the thought of having these three friends investigating and searching for a possibly dangerous suspect promises an exciting installment in “NCIS” season 16 episode 4, which will air on Tuesday, Oct. 16, at 8 p.m. ET on CBS.
