The team will be solving a new case in “NCIS” Season 17 Episode 12. But based on the brief trailer, the suspect is particularly slippery that there’s a chance she might slip past the investigators.
The brief “NCIS” Season 17 Episode 12 trailer starts with a female officer screaming as she opens a door. Behind her is Agent Gibbs, played by Mark Harmon, and Agent Ellie Bishop, played by Emily Wickersham.
It looks like the trio was looking for someone, who was probably the occupant of the room they just entered, that might be in connection to the investigation Gibbs and Bishop are conducting. The room looks like it is inside a naval ship.
Fans immediately realize why the female officer leading the two investigators screamed in horror. They found a dead body, who is probably the person Gibbs and Bishop wanted to talk to, inside the room. This means that they’ve reached a dead end to their investigation.
Then a case folder was briefly shown containing a picture of a female in uniform. “Your fugitive is a murder suspect,” NCIS director Leon Vance (Rocky Carroll) told the team.
In the next scene, someone can be seen piloting a jet. However, there are no recognizable features because the pilot’s face is mostly covered by the face mask. The scene then changes into one where investigators are standing on a beach searching for something through a pair of binoculars.
“You’re not going to catch her, you know,” an elderly gentleman can be seen talking to the team. “She’s way too smart.”
The scene then changes and a woman can be seen piloting a small propeller plane getting ready for takeoff. Gibbs then hurriedly runs after the craft but it seems that she made her get away this time.
“The NCIS team investigates an F-18 crash and the subsequent disappearance of the pilot who operated the aircraft,” the synopsis for the upcoming “NCIS” Season 17 episode12 reads, according to CarterMatt. “Also, McGee reluctantly discusses a very personal decision with his teammates, on NCIS, Tuesday, Jan. 14 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.”
