Nike has canceled orders to at least one retail store until summer 2022 due to supply chain issues.
It's unclear if the situation would also affect other stores.
The sporting goods giant reportedly wrote an email to the sneaker retailer about the cancelation due to COVID-19's continuous impact on the global supply chain that created transportation disturbances.
Consequently, Nike canceled the store's orders for Spring and Summer 2022 and the balance of the Holiday Season 2021.
Nike assured the retailer that its goal was to resume supply as soon as possible.
The economic downturn due to the COVID-19 pandemic began, and the lack of workers that caused manufacturing and shipping delays triggered supply chain issues.
The crisis has affected holiday purchasing.
