New 'Diablo' Game Confirmed in Blizzard Job Posting

One of the video game media industry’s biggest sources of information with regards to potential upcoming titles is job postings, and Blizzard just dropped a rather sizeable hint. The publisher posted an open position for someone who is capable of creating atmospheric dungeons. Apparently, this is for an unannounced "Diablo" game, which Blizzard itself confirmed by mentioning it on the listing.

“We're working on a new, unannounced Diablo project. Are you a skilled Dungeon Artist? Come work with us, and together we will build something exceptional,” the job posting reads.

Naturally, the news made the rounds on the web, and fans of the franchise are now practically salivating at the thought of being able to play a new 'Diablo' game. As Polygon noted, however, the title is likely a long way off considering that Blizzard is just now looking for someone who can help create dungeons. Those are rather important in a series like "Diablo."

It’s also worth pointing out that the details with regards to the game are still scarce. There’s no telling whether it will be a sequel or a prequel, or if it will be on all platforms. It might even be a mobile game. A lot of other video game companies are investing heavily in the smartphone gaming market after all.

The only other details that were included in the posting are the usual "Diablo" tropes that fans have come to expect from the property, which read: "The ideal candidate works well in an environment of peers who are passionate about working on the dark gothic world of 'Diablo,' making great games, killing millions of monsters and getting loot."

Fans of the series have been hoping to hear news about a new game for years now, GameSpot reports. The last official "Diablo" content that came to the market was the release of the "Rise of the Necromancer" DLC for "Diablo III." Blizzard has been largely silent about the property since then.
