British teenage tennis sensation Emma Raducanu has agreed to be a global brand ambassador for UK flag carrier British Airways.
As part of the deal, British Airways will continue to fly Raducanu to tournaments and training, including next year’s US Open and French Open.
Raducanu’s recent commercial deals are with US jewelry company Tiffany’s and French fashion label Dior, both of which are reportedly worth US$2.7 million, and with bottled water brand Evian.
British Airways also holds deals with England Rugby, Team GB, and Paralympics GB.
The airline partnered with another British tennis player Kyle Edmund, back in 2018. Earlier this year, the airline flew the British and Irish Lions to South Africa.
Raducanu said she is fascinated with aviation and has some interesting projects planned with British Airways.
Relatively unknown at the start of 2021, Raducanu shot to prominence with her run to the fourth round at Wimbledon and the US Open in September to become the first British female to claim a Grand Slam title since 1977.
