‘One Piece’ 922 Air Date, Spoilers: Is Kaido A Dragon In Human Form? Immortality Explained

“One Piece” 922 will follow up on the mind-blowing events of the previous chapter where Kaido finally showed off his true form. Turning into a dragon near the end of the chapter, there’s no doubt that the Emperor absolutely stole the show. As a result, there are now questions as to whether Kaido is a human who can turn into a dragon or a dragon who can turn into a human.

One of the most enduring mysteries in the “One Piece” universe has to do with Kaido’s true nature. Brutal and merciless, this pirate is known throughout the seas as being ruthless. However, his odd tendency of wanting to kill himself is in stark contrast to what he is known for. “One Piece” 922 might provide clarity on that point and it could have something to do with what he truly is.

As TheAnimeScrolls notes in its “One Piece” 922 report, there is a very good chance that Kaido is actually a dragon who ate a Devil Fruit that allows him to turn human. It could also be the case that he is a human who ate a Zoan type Devil Fruit that turns him into a dragon. Considering everything that is known about the pirate Emperor so far, however, the former is the more likely scenario.

It’s the one that explains Kaido’s known behavior best. His brutal nature could simply be his indifference to a race he considers inferior. At the same time, his immortality could be a direct result of him being a dragon since it’s unlikely that the Devil Fruit made him undying. It might even be possible for “One Piece” 922 to reveal that he did not eat a Devil Fruit at all and can simply transform at will.

To find out once and for all, readers will just have to wait until Oct. 29 to read “One Piece” 922, OtakuKart reports. There’s also a good chance that a fight between Luffy and Jack might ensue.
