‘One Piece’ Chapter 939 Release Date: Why Eiichiro Oda Needs to Address This One Minor Detail in Next Release

“One Piece” Chapter 939 will be continuing on the Wano Arc and the various plots that are currently underway. There are a lot of things to discuss in the coming chapter, but the most talked about plotline so far is revolving around Zoro and the fight that recently concluded.

At the moment, Zoro is still recovering from the wounds he sustained after going against Kamazo. Although that battle is over, “One Piece” Chapter 939 still has to answer one question surrounding that fight, specifically how Zoro fainted after suffering the injury.

Throughout the course of the manga, the swordsman has been portrayed as someone who has a tremendous pain threshold. But in the previous release, he fainted from a single blow from an assassin who is far weaker than him. This spells inconsistency on Oda’s part and he’ll have to address this issue on “One Piece” Chapter 939.

As such, there are two theories that have been proffered by the series’ fan base – both of which involves poison. First, “One Piece” Chapter 939 could explain that Kamazo’s blade has been coated with an unknown agent that resulted in Zoro falling unconscious.

While plausible, it’s still doesn’t add up since there has been no lingering effect after he has awoken from passing out. The second explanation that “One Piece” Chapter 939 could provide is that Zoro has been eating poisoned food during his journey throughout Wano.

Oda has already established that the community Zoro passed through was eating scraps to survive. It’s entirely possible that while those residents have built an immunity to their unhealthy diet, Zoro doesn’t have such protection. Whatever the case, Oda offering some sort of explanation for this minor detail will be a welcome piece of information to keep everything consistent moving forward. As for the release date of “One Piece” Chapter 939, it’s been slated for release on April 14.
