Escaping Big Mom has obviously pushed all the Straw Hats Pirates to their limit, including their leader, Luffy. So in “One Piece” episode 853, it is Jinbe’s turn to take the spotlight.
“One Piece” episode 853’s title “The Green Room — An Invincible Helmsman, Jinbe” is a clear giveaway that the main event features the former ally of the Big Mom pirates who is now friendly to the Straw Hats. Unfortunately, the brief trailer video does not give away much about Jinbe’s next actions.
It can be recalled that Luffy failed to defeat Katakuri in episode 852. The Straw Hats were all shocked to witness that Katakuri was able to predict Luffy’s moves and then make counter attacks that lessen Luffy’s chances of winning their battle. Luffy and Katakuri continue their battle in “One Piece” episode 853 but the interesting part is how Jinbe gets into the picture.
Aside from Luffy, the “One Piece” episode 853 preview also shows that Nami is in grave danger. The video trailer hints that Big Mom will unleash more of her power and control the tidal waves and ocean surges. A very frightened Nami can be seen in the preview, which might make the fans wonder if Jinbe will also be there to save her in “One Piece” episode 853.
It is also important to note that this is not the first time Jinbe will be saving the Straw Hats from certain dangers. Throughout the Whole Cake Island arc, Jinbe repeatedly saved Luffy, Nami, and others from Big Mom. Luckily for Jinbe fans, they will once again witness the character’s bravery in “One Piece” episode 853.
Meanwhile, it is still difficult to estimate if the anime’s version of the Whole Cake Island arc will be ending in the next episode. Aside from Jinbe’s anticipated help, the rest of the Straw Hats seem to be out of solutions to defeat their enemies. “One Piece” episode 853 will air on Sept. 16.
