“One Piece” Episode 864 is going to be one of the most intense episodes of the anime yet with the Straw Hats finally going up against Big Mom in her most powerful form. There is no joking around with the yonko this time as she desperately looks for the cake that will satisfy her cravings. Will she kill one of Luffy’s friends to get what she wants or will she be stopped in time?
Big Mom landing on the Thousand Sunny and then transforming into something that resembles a Super Saiyan does not bode well for the Straw Hats. She was already strong enough in her normal form where it was shown that she was practically invincible. In “One Piece” Episode 864, she turns into something that could give even Goku a run for his money.
This encounter has been in the making for a few episodes, as well, since she has been chasing the Straw Hats for a few weeks now. This is basically because she was told that the pirates were carrying the wedding cake that she wanted to eat during the nuptials of her daughter to Sanji. That particular pastry was ruined when the gang came out of it to assassinate Big Mom and “One Piece” Episode 864 is where the reckoning for that act begins.
Fortunately, it would seem that Jinbei will save the Straw Hats yet again in “One Piece” Episode 864 by forcing Big Mom off of their ship. It’s highly unlikely for him to have hurt her, but it’s enough that none of Luffy’s friends suffered as a result.
“One Piece” Episode 864 is scheduled to air on Dec. 9 instead of Dec. 2. The date was moved due to the one-hour “Dragon Ball Super” special episode that was set to air in its place.
