The fight between Luffy and Katakuri has been dragging on for a long time now, and during that time, it was clear that a form of respect has grown between the two. As a result, “One Piece” Episode 867 will see the Sweets commander hurting himself to show how much he respects his opponent. This follows the interference of Flambé who hit Luffy with a sneak attack.
As the clip below shows, the fight between Luffy and Katakuri will see the Straw Hats captain finally becoming a match to his opponent. Unfortunately, the treacherous Flambé will shoot an attack at him that is similar to a blow dart. This will have the unfortunate effect of Luffy losing control over his limbs, thus leading to a major blow from Katakuri in “One Piece” Episode 867.
Upon realizing what happened, Katakuri will chastise Flambé and injure himself in order to make the fight fair in “One Piece” Episode 867. He would have been better off simply taking advantage of the situation since this action will lead to the beginning of his loss. On that note, it will also lead to some truly spectacular scenes in the upcoming episode.
“One Piece” Episode 867 will show just how much respect has grown between Katakuri and Luffy, and how much the former values his honor as a warrior. The commander does have a reputation for being undefeated and for never having been forced to land on his back. Retaining this reputation by cheating was never going to fly with him.
“One Piece” Episode 867 has been delayed so it will now be airing on Jan. 6. Fans can look forward to what happens in the fight then. For those who might be wondering as to when the bout will actually conclude, they can rest assured that it will be soon.
