“One Punch Man” Season 2 is one of the most anticipated anime sequels coming out in 2019. However, there are a lot of changes that occurred behind the scenes that left some of its following worried about the second installment.
The biggest of which is J.C. Staff studio handling “One Punch Man” Season 2. The previous installment was overseen by Madhouse and the animation produced by the studio set the bar really high. The quality of this animation is among the major factors why the first season received a roaring welcome from the anime community across the world.
Although J.C. Staff has handled a lot of successful projects in the past, they weren’t necessarily stellar work in terms of animation quality. There’s a real chance that the visual quality of “One Punch Man” Season 2 might not live up to the first installment, although it’s also expected that the difference wouldn’t be far off.
After all, Madhouse outsourced a lot of the work involved in the previous season. Hopefully, J.C. Staff can deliver on this front and produced stunning results. Meanwhile, little is known regarding the plot of “One Punch Man” Season 2 as the studio is keeping everything under wraps.
But given that the premise of the series isn’t exactly as complex as “Game of Thrones” or “Westworld,” the plot doesn’t necessarily play a big role in why the show is popular. Instead, the strength of “One Punch Man” Season 2 will rely mostly on character development, especially secondary ones that have amassed a few following of their own.
Geno and Mumen Rider are two of the most well-received side character in the show and fans are hoping that both of them will get more screen time in “One Punch Man” Season 2. But there’s also another upcoming character that is touted to spice things up in the upcoming installment.
The character in question is Garou. He is a former student of Bang and was kicked out of the old man’s dojo after crippling his contemporaries. After the incident, the character trained on his own and became one of the greatest threats despite being only human. There’s no question that Garou will accumulate a lot of following when “One Punch Man” Season 2 airs on April 2019.
