One of the most interesting characters in the source webcomic and manga series is going to cause a lot of trouble in “One-Punch Man” Season 2. As seen in the announcement trailer, the rumors about Saitama facing Garou this season are true.
Of course, the actual trailer didn’t really show any new footage, but it features some new dialogue. Furthermore, Viz Media has shared a promo art featuring Saitama and Genos, with Garou looming large on the background. The official synopsis for “One-Punch Man” Season 2 has also been released, via ComicBook.com.
"Saitama is a hero who only became a hero for fun. After three years of ‘special training,’ he’s become so strong that he’s practically invincible. In fact, he’s too strong—even his mightiest opponents are taken out with a single punch. Now, the great seer Madame Shibabawa’s prediction about the Earth being doomed seems to be coming true as the frequency of monster incidents escalates. Alongside Genos, his faithful disciple, Saitama begins his official hero duties as a member of the Hero Association, while Garou, a man utterly fascinated by monsters, makes his appearance."
Garou has already made a cameo appearance in the first season. Now fans will get a chance to see him in action against Saitama in “One-Punch Man” Season 2. It will be an interesting fight between the two because they are polar opposites. While Saitama enjoys being a hero, Garou's goal is to be classified as a God-level threat.
In other news, the English dub version of “One-Punch Man” Season 1 is now available on Netflix, but for now, this is only accessible to viewers in Canada, per ComicBook.com. Of course, viewers in the U.S. can always head to Hulu if they don’t want to read subtitles on Netflix.
Garou will play a big role in next season as he faces Saitama and the other heroes. “One-Punch Man” Season 2 is scheduled to premiere in April 2019.
