“Outlander” season 4's imminent arrival is getting a big promotional boost from Starz, with more preview content being released to the public. Jamie (Sam Heughan) and Claire Fraser's (Caitriona Balfe) story continues in the North Carolina wilderness and settlements, which, as fans already know, contain so many new dangers that threaten the beloved couple.
TV Guide recently posted a collection of “Outlander” season 4 preview photos. Additional scenes that have yet to be revealed are featured, including a photo that shows Claire Fraser talking with a Native American woman.
Claire and Jamie are also prominently featured seemingly living from their wagons for a good portion of their stay in North Carolina in “Outlander” season 4. Fans also get to see more of Brianna Fraser (Sophie Skelton) and Roger Mackenzie (Richard Rankin) developing their chemistry in the modern era, with Brianna and Roger taking the time to share in each other's world, separated by the Atlantic Ocean.
In a more recent exclusive, Entertainment Weekly released an “Outlander” season 4 preview photo that features Claire and Jamie Fraser with Maria Doyle Kennedy's Aunt Jocasta at River Run. In the photo, it appears that the trio may be facing down a threat in front of Jocasta's manor as they are protected by red-coated soldiers.
While Aunt Jocasta may not necessarily be a villain compared to Stephen Bonnet (Ed Speleers), fans have already been teased about Jamie and Claire Fraser leaving Jocasta's River Run plantation due to a disagreement between Claire and Jamie's aunt. In “Outlander” season 4's most recent official trailer, a short scene between Claire Fraser and Aunt Jocasta is shown where the two strong women are shown to have differing views about slavery.
The mobs assaulting Jocasta's plantation as well as Claire's distaste for the blatant slavery happening at River Run may lead to the Frasers eventually looking for their own place to settle in. This may explain how the Frasers will eventually end up interacting with the Native American population in “Outlander” season 4.
Fans looking forward to seeing how Claire and Jamie Fraser continue their fight to survive in the new world of North Carolina can catch the “Outlander” season 4 premiere episode when it airs on Nov. 4.
