“Ozark” season 3 was officially renewed by Netflix last year. Jason Bateman who plays the lead role Marty Byrde also confirmed that the third installment is coming through social media. On Twitter, he wrote, “I'm happy for me, but concerned for Marty - it's official OZARK 3 is on its way.”
The renewal did not come as a surprise because the show has a lot of followers. In fact, based on the viewership ratings, the show is one of the most watch dramas on Netflix. Now, that it is certain that “Ozark” season 3 is coming, here is the plot that fans can expect when it airs.
According to Radio Times, Marty and his family will deal with more issues in “Ozark” season 3. This is because their involvement in the illegal deeds has gone deeper and it is hard to turn back now as things have become very complicated already.
Moreover, in season 2’s finale, it showed Marty launching his massive casino boat and it was learned that he will use the business as a way to launder millions of money for the Mexican drug cartel. This plot already says a lot and many things could happen to Byrde and his family from this wicked business operation.
More people could also die in “Ozark” season 3 since there are people who want others dead in order to remove hindrances to their business and Marty could even be one of the future targets, especially if he will have a fall out with the drug lords or other crooks he deals with.
When “Ozark” season 3 returns, aside from Jason Bateman, the viewers will still see Laura Linney (Wendy Byrde), Sofia Hublitz (Charlotte Byrde) Skylar Gaertner, (Jonah Byrde), Julia Garner (Ruth Langmore), Peter Mullan (Jacob Snell), Lisa Emery (Darlene Snell), Jordana Spiro (Rachel Garrison) and Jason Butler Harner (Roy Petty).
Jason Butler Harner (Roy Petty), Trevor Long (Cade Langmore) and Janet McTeer (Helen Pierce) will not be in “Ozark” season 3 as their characters were killed off in the previous seasons.
“Ozark” season 3 has no premiere date yet but as predicted, it may arrive this September. This was the assumed date based on the show’s pattern when it comes to show release dates.
