Pauley Perrette left NCIS back in May but her departure is surrounded in mystery as many media outlets reported that she left the show on bad terms. There were reports that she and lead star Mark Harmon were at odds and that was why she chose to leave.
At the time her exit from "NCIS" was reported, Country Living wrote that Pauley Perrette had an altercation with Mark Harmon because he kept bringing his dog to the set when the pet already bit one member of the crew. It was alleged that the dog bite was serious and the actress confronted the actor because he continued bringing the dog.
Now, Vanity Fair published a different report about Pauley Perrette’s exit from "NCIS" and it claimed that the actress left because of “multiple physical assaults.” Although it did not directly state that this is the case, it wrote that the actress implied this was what happened to her while on the show.
Apparently, the magazine based its claims on Perrette’s series of social media posts. The story was never confirmed so the truth is still unknown.
At any rate, new stories about her departure from the popular procedural drama have surfaced again and this time, it was said that there are people who are stopping Pauley Perrette from revealing the “real” cause of her exit from "NCIS," Celebrity Insider reported.
Based on the story, it seems that sexual harassment is involved that is why the actress is being prevented from opening her mouth to expose the supposedly toxic environment on the set. Pauley Perrette also allegedly made this revelation by writing on Twitter but the posts are not available now.
Meanwhile, “NCIS” season 16 premiered without Pauley Perrette and the void she left was filled by Diona Reasonover (Kasie Hines).
