There are not too many details that are known about “Peaky Blinders” Season 5 at the moment, leaving fans and publications to guess what it is going to be about. Considering how the show keeps moving the plot in upward momentum, however, it can be safely assumed that politics will be involved. More specifically, it is no longer in the realm of farfetched nonsense to predict that Tommy Shelby (Cillian Murphy) might run for Prime Minister.
It has been quite some time since the finale of “Peaky Blinders” Season 4 but fans were given hope of the series’ return almost immediately after, Radio Times reports. As to plot details and other aspects of “Peaky Blinders” Season 5, however, there is still too much that remains unknown. To start with, the overarching plot is the biggest mystery.
Based on how things left off in the previous season, however, the direction that “Peaky Blinders” Season 5 will likely take might involve a ton of politics. Through the first four seasons of the show, the world that the Shelby family inhabited only became more complicated. From street hustlers, they become a black empire, and then a political symbol.
With Tommy winning a seat at the MP table, he will now have more power than ever before. Then there’s the matter of the communist movement that the Shelby patriarch will be expected to handle. That particular plot point is bound to play a major role in “Peaky Blinders” Season 5. Of course, this is just the tip of the iceberg.
“Peaky Blinders” Season 5 is also likely to involve other politicians finally paying attention to the Shelby family in ways they were not before. By the end of this season, which is expected to air this Spring 2020, the Shelby empire might have already reached parliament in a major way.
