Pizza ice cream is not something that people will hear or encounter every day, and this means that it is unique. Pizza-flavored ice cream is simply unthinkable for most people, but it will be available at Walmart soon.
As per Fox Business, Van Leeuwen Ice Cream partners with Walmart for the exclusive launch of its newest ice cream flavor. The company is known to create limited-edition ice cream flavors and previously released Kraft's Mac & Cheese, Hot Honey, Bourbon Cherries Jubilee, Wild Blueberry Shortcake, and Royal Wedding Cake.
Van Leeuwen's pizza ice cream will be sold in pint sizes and will be at Walmart's freezer aisle for a short time only. Customers can buy it from the retail company's outlets across the United States.
The ice cream manufacturing company introduced its pizza ice cream via social media this week. As posted in the announcement, the new dessert will be available for purchase starting March 14. Walmart's spokesman told Fox Business that the new ice cream will be at the company's 3,500 locations for 10 weeks from the release date.

Yup. You heard that right.
You’ve had pizza. You’ve had ice cream. It’s only natural to have some Pizza ice cream.

Van Leeuwen shared that its newest product is made with cream cheese and mozzarella base. Basil crust cookies are added, plus tomato jam swirls. The result is sweet rather than salty, as everyone might imagine.
The ice cream maker intends to create more unique flavors, and these will be released based on the season. Thus, there are already plans for the new taste for the coming summer.
Meanwhile, Van Leeuwen Ice Cream also produces high-quality vegan ice cream using simple ingredients. It has recently improved the packaging of its vegan pints in a move to revamp branding for this product line. Customers will start to see the new looks at grocery stores and the company's scoop shops this spring.
"Van Leeuwen's branding is one of a kind and our customers love the minimalist design and colors of the pints - especially when it comes to our classic dairy line," Van Leeuwen Ice Cream's co-founder and chief executive officer, Ben Van Leeuwen, said in a press release. "After taking a step back, we realized there was an opportunity to more closely align our vegan pint branding with the iconic dairy line. We have no doubt that the changes that we've made to our vegan line will increase brand recognition and resonate well with our customers and retail partners."
