For fans of the series, any news about “Red Dead Redemption 2” is worth picking at and a new, giant billboard of the game certainly qualifies as news. There are some interesting features with regards to this particular development, not least of which is the possibility of a new trailer coming up. It might even include gameplay, which would be about time.
People have been taking photos of the “Red Dead Redemption 2” billboards that are being put up and posting them on social media. The news has been blowing up on Twitter, with excited fans eagerly anticipating any nugget of new information coming out of Rockstar. So far, the developers have chosen not to say anything about the giant advertising implements.

In any case, the billboard itself features the caption that reads “Outlaws for Life” and several of the characters that will be appearing in “Red Dead Redemption 2.” They include the visages of John Marston and Dutch Van der Linde that franchise fans should be familiar with from the previous game. The other two faces belong to the dual-pistol-wielding woman and someone who appears to be a Native American.
Along with the major advertising value of the billboard, these gigantic marketing tools could also hint at a possible release of a new trailer for the game. Comicbook.com notes that it could even be a gameplay trailer, which would make sense. After all, “Red Dead Redemption 2” is less than three months from release and gamers still don’t know what to expect from the combat.
A gameplay trailer would go a long way towards reassuring some fans who might be on the fence about whether or not to get the game upon launch. Considering that “Red Dead Redemption 2” will be released on Oct. 26, Rockstar should be providing such a trailer soon.
