State College, PA, May 11, 2017 -- Remcom announces a partnership with P3 group to provide a fully comprehensive solution for test and measurement combined with EM modeling and simulation. The partnership further extends the successful collaboration in air cabin communications modeling that commenced between Remcom and P3 aero systems in late 2016.
The partnership gives P3’s customers access to Remcom’s electromagnetic simulation and propagation prediction software to augment test and measurement efforts. In addition, Remcom will now offer its customers consulting services that leverage P3’s management and engineering expertise. These complementary offerings provide a convenient option for design projects that require test and measurement validation and communication channel predictions.
Michael Hicks, director of business development for Remcom, said, “P3 and Remcom each bring more than 20 years of experience in the aerospace, automotive, and communications industries, and our combined portfolios will give customers a wider breadth of services. In addition to our collaboration in aerospace applications, P3’s extensive influence will help Remcom to expand international distribution channels in the areas of 5G, MIMO, and IoT.”
Bernd Knobe, managing director of P3 aero systems, said, “Inflight entertainment and connectivity have been increasingly critical to passengers’ travel experiences; thus airlines, operators, and manufacturers are expected to keep up with rapidly changing technologies. Adding Remcom’s simulation and network planning capabilities enables us to reliably predict the wireless performance of customized aircraft cabin configurations during the early phase of cabin definition, far prior to aircraft delivery. Once we have an early cabin layout, we can reliably model the wireless cabin and the potential risk of interference.”
About Remcom:
