NEW YORK, Nov. 30, 2017 -- Amber Beverage Group announces the launch of Rooster Rojo, a new premium 100% Blue Agave tequila, produced and distilled in the heart of Tequila, Mexico and filtered through real Mexican silver. Master distiller Arturo Fuentes Cortes affirms this tequila possesses uncompromised quality and true Mexican authenticity; Rooster Rojo is the brand that represents the true spirit of Mexico.
“We believe that this is a tequila brand that is distinguished among other tequilas. The combination of premium spirit along with traditional distillation methods will ensure that it is the number one choice for tequila lovers all around the world,” says Mantas Zlatkus, Global Brand Manager for Rooster Rojo.
Premium tequila consumers have had to eagerly await the unveiling of Rooster Rojo due to the unfortunate series of hurricanes and destructive earthquakes that caused a delay in transportation to the US. Commercially available December 1st, this tequila’s softer and smoother finish will rival that of its peers and is destined to provide a uniquely satisfying customer experience.
The main symbol of the brand – the Red Rooster – was not selected by accident. Some may know that the rooster has been a symbol of Mexico for years, but only true tequila fans will know that the Red Rooster dwells in the Tequila volcano and is the king of all roosters.
Tequila is usually filled in robust and thick glass bottles, but Rooster Rojo is different. Its packaging is atypically thin and with a texture resembling a handmade bottle – this further distinguishes Rooster Rojo from its competitors.
A number of world-famous tequila brands are produced in huge factories in even more lucrative volumes, losing their special link with traditions and heritage. Distilled at the relatively small Fabrica de Tequilas Finos, this is not the case with this tequila, which still is able to leverage the advantages of the modern era without losing its genuine, premium taste.
To celebrate the unveiling of Rooster Rojo globally, Amber Beverage Group is contracted to become the main sponsor of the J2-Racing team for the full 9-race season in 2018. Reaching sports enthusiasts worldwide, this is one of the first global sponsorships of this magnitude to promote the Rooster Rojo brand but more exciting events are to follow.

Notes to Editors:
About tequila: Rooster Rojo tequila is produced using only 100% Blue Weber agave. Cooking is done in autoclaves with the help of steam – it lasts for 10 hours. Special yeast is added to agave juices – a closely guarded secret ingredient of the master distiller – that have been used since the factory begun it’s operations. Fermentation lasts for up to 72 hours before the liquid can be distilled.
Double pot distillation is done in stainless steel pot stills, which allows preserving the natural flavors of the highest quality 100% agave. The water, used for Rooster Rojo tequila blending is filtered through Mexican silver; it makes the drink softer and smoother. Rooster Rojo is the first tequila that employs such a technique.
About the distillery: Fabrica de Tequilas Finos is a tequila producer based in Tequila, Mexico. It is recognized by such brands as KAH, Don Camilo, Agave 99, Zapopan and Tonala tequilas. The distillery is located in the town of Tequila, Jalisco – close to Guadalajara, Mexico and at the foot of Tequila Hill. It was established as a sole family owned business in 2000 and since September 2016 Amber Beverage Group operates the distillery.
