Galaxy AI capabilities and One UI 6.1 are expected to be added to the Galaxy S23 lineup the following month, according to a leaker. An additional source has also forecasted that One UI 6.1 for a variety of older Galaxy phones will be released in March.
One UI 6.1 Is Coming To Older Phones In The Next Few Weeks
The Samsung Galaxy S24 series introduced One UI 6.1, an operating system that incorporates numerous enhancements to the user experience and AI capabilities. We are aware that older phones will receive the update, and it appears we now have a clearer understanding of when this release will occur.
Benit Bruhner Pro, a leaker, asserted on X that the Galaxy S23 series will receive One UI 6.1 and Galaxy AI functionality the following month.
In addition, Tarun Vats, a source who provided information, has speculated on two potential release dates for One UI 6.1 on older Galaxy devices. Vats made a more precise estimation that the update would be distributed to the Galaxy S23 series, Galaxy S22 range, Galaxy Z Flip 5, and Galaxy Z Fold 5 between March 11 and 13 or March 20. Vats reiterated that these are merely forecasts and not officially confirmed release dates.
In any case, it appears that older Galaxy phone owners must patiently await the release of One UI 6.1 on their devices for at least a few weeks.
Samsung to Upgrade Older Galaxy Devices with Advanced AI Camera Features
Samsung has not disclosed a great deal of information concerning which Galaxy AI features will be accessible on older devices. Nevertheless, the organization revealed late last month that older Galaxy handsets will receive camera enhancements such as a more refined Single Take Mode, a simplified long-exposure option, and colorization of black-and-white images.
By default, the mode also provides additional results and companion recognition. Consequently, this mode should produce higher-quality images and recordings of your cat or dog. The Galaxy Tab S9 series, Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy S23 range, Galaxy S23 FE, Galaxy S22 family, Galaxy Z Fold 4 and later, and Galaxy Z Flip 4 will receive this enhanced Single Take mode.
