It’s a familiar story told in a new format, which will begin in “Samurai 8” Chapter 5. The impulsive Hachimaru will essentially start on the road to becoming a samurai. However, his recklessness will lead to his father’s death, thus putting him on the road to revenge even those he is to blame. Throw in some quests for special keys and readers have a formula for bringing in lots of attention.
Simply put, “Samurai 8” Chapter 5 is expected to be where Hachimaru will start learning the way of the sword from Daruma, TheAnimeScrolls reports. There will likely be some showcase of skill or some explanation as to what can be gained from this training. Speaking of which, it’s more than likely that this will be another manga trope wherein the protagonist is put through hell in order to become stronger.
If there is no time skip in “Samurai 8” Chapter 5, the death of Hachimaru’s father might not occur here, but it has practically been initiated. The moment the boy decided to go against his father’s wishes, he has already sealed his fate and will have no one to blame but himself. This self-hatred would be a good plot point to focus on if this was a sensible story being told.
However, with the kind of manga that it is, this is unlikely to be the case. This goes double for the platform that it is being published on, as well. Everyone knows that there isn’t going to be such mature themes covered in this manga. This is why “Samurai 8” Chapter 5 is likely to be just another boring training chapter that has been done to death by other popular manga.
Derivative as the work may be, there are those who would still like to read “Samurai 8” Chapter 5. For those people, the chapter is coming out on June 10.
