Satoshicenter, a blockchain and bitcoin fintech hub, will be hosting a bitcoin meetup and a workshop in Botswana, which is organized by leading bitcoin company BTC.com.
Satoshicenter hub is seeking to offer a home to help blockchain and other technology startups to develop, collaborate and execute as well as make sustainable strategies for their business in a suitable or conducive environment. According to the owner and founder of the hub Alakanani Itireleng, the upcoming meetup is a step to building an authentic bitcoin community.
“We aim to support a group of people who want to understand the technology and potential bitcoin brings,” she said. “So many fake schemes are being sold to people in the name of bitcoin, and we want to change that.”
The event will enable attendees to educate on the basics of bitcoin, how to set up a wallet and receive free bitcoin to get it started. The meetup enrolment is free of cost and is open to the public. The dates of the meetup is yet to be finalized.
“We expect a large turnout,” Alejandro De La Torre, marketing and business development manager of BTC.com, said. “We are more than happy to provide the groundwork for Botswanans to begin exploring all that bitcoin has to offer.”
With a focus to foster international bitcoin education, BTC.com is continuing to host series of events and encourages both new as well as existing users to expand their knowledge in the bitcoin and blockchain sector.
