‘Shameless’ Season 9 Episode 2 Air Date, Plot, Teaser: How Will Frank Handle Being a Campaign Manager?

The trailer for “Shameless Season” 9 Episode 2 has been released and the revelations in it aren’t particularly surprising given that the craziness depicted isn’t exactly new to the comedy-drama series. But it is this chaotic and hilarious mess that audiences crave for and which make the show as entertaining as it is.

One of the interesting things the teaser for Shameless Season” 9 Episode has to offer is that Frank (William H. Macy) is looking into joining the complicated world of politics. However, Frank isn’t going to be running himself but will be acting as the campaign manager of Mo White (Dan Lauria), Express reported.

The trailer shows that the head of the Gallagher household is seemingly tired of today’s politics, which in his opinion is filled with “gays and vaginas.” Frank wants Chicago to be in the hands of white people again and the crowd over at Alibi Room seems to agree with the alcoholic deadbeat father. It’s safe to say that Frank’s new venture in “Shameless Season” 9 Episode 2 is going to blow up in his face again and will end up teaching him a life lesson.

And speaking of Alibi Room, Kevin (Steve Howey) wants to change the bar’s image into a friendlier atmosphere after reading a review in a newspaper that the place is the “rapiest bar” in the South Side. “From now on, any woman you want to harass has to give her written consent,” Kev instructed his patrons. These kinds of hysterical scenes are what are to be expected in “Shameless Season” 9 Episode 2.

But there’s also tension lurking underneath all this seemingly inconsequential scenarios. One of them is Fiona (Emmy Rossum) trying to get into a venture of his own, which could potentially land her in hot water. This may then lead to a complicated scenario where it might contribute to the ousting of Fiona in the comedy-drama. While “Shameless Season” 9 Episode 2 will not have the character walk out just yet, this installment will be the last for the eldest Gallagher.

Rossum already said that she’s going to leave the show after starring on it for eight seasons. It isn’t clear what prompted the actress to leave but rumors are heavily leaning towards a contract signing going south. Whatever it is, Rossum is already out. “Shameless" Season 9 Episode 2 will air this Sunday, Sept. 16.
