Game developer Atlus’ presentations for “Shin Megami Tensei 5” were not over after the game’s appearance during Nintendo’s E3 events last week. With the release of a new gameplay trailer, pre-orders for the game’s physical copy – that offers collectible items – were also opened on Monday.
‘Shin Megami Tensei 5’ pre-order details
One good thing about the “Shin Megami Tensei 5” pre-order is that fans do not have to track many editions of the physical copy. Fans can purchase the game’s physical version in two ways, the Premium Edition and the Steelbook Edition.
For avid fans of the RPG series, the “Shin Megami Tensei 5” Premium Edition is worth checking out. Aside from a copy of the base game, it comes with a steelbook case with cover art inspired by the game, a soundtrack stored in two CDs, a Demon handbook that gives players extra knowledge about the creatures in the game, a 6-inch x 11.5-inch sling bag, and a collector’s box where fans can store all these items. Atlus is only selling this edition in limited quantities and it will cost $119.99.
If collecting physical items does not sound too enticing, fans have the option to get the physical copy of “Shin Megami Tensei 5” and just the steelbook case for $59.99. Both editions are only sold through GameStop in the United States, Video Game Plus in Canada, and EB Games in Australia.
For fans who will not be too lucky to get these physical editions while there are stocks available will have to make do with just the base game in its digital form. “Shin Megami Tensei 5” is exclusively launching on Nintendo Switch. Purchasing the digital copy is not yet an option, but Switch users can use the Add to Wish List button on the Nintendo Store to be notified once the game is available to buy and download.
‘Shin Megami Tensei 5’ release date, gameplay: What to expect
The game is promised to introduce new gameplay elements while also bringing back familiar mechanics, including the ability to combine demons. Players will control the main protagonist, a high school student who will be transported to an alternate version of Tokyo where demons have run over the world. To help save the world, the main character will have to fuse with Aogami to forge a creature named Nahobino.
“Shin Megami Tensei 5” will be released on Friday, Nov. 12. The single-player RPG is currently listed on the Nintendo Store with a 15.6GB file size.
