TUCSON, Ariz., Feb. 04, 2016 -- Medication therapy management (MTM) technology developed by SinfoniaRx has expanded to support the growing Hispanic population that has reached nearly 57 million in the US. To help improve the treatment of chronic conditions in Hispanic populations, SinfoniaRx has launched a new call center located in the Phoenix area. “Prescriptions with a goal - partners in your health” or “Recetas con metas - compañeros en su salud" is SinfoniaRx’s clinical program focused on the Spanish speaking patient. SinfoniaRx’s Spanish speaking MTM providers are internationally recognized and experts in complex and chronic disease management.
In 2015, over 4,000 Comprehensive Medication Reviews (CMRs) were completed by SinfoniaRx’s Spanish MTM providers. In 2016, these numbers are anticipated to grow. According to the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), Hispanics have a higher incidence of diabetes and liver disease leading to a need for personalized MTM services.
SinfoniaRx’s technology is currently used by pharmacists at the University of Arizona and The Ohio State University to monitor prescription use for approximately 300 health plans representing 6 million patients nationally.
