Song Joong Ki recently revealed that he is eyeing to work abroad after starring in the neo-noir series "Hopeless," where he played the role of a rugged gang leader. As his movie is in the theaters, the South Korean superstar appeared on JTBC's Newsroom to discuss his plans.
Song Joong Ki Aims to Work Overseas After 'Hopeless'
The former husband of Song Hye Kyo divulged that he always tries to do something new when asked about his special considerations when choosing projects. "Personally, I try not to do what I've done before. I have a strange obsession. If I don't enjoy myself, it shows clearly," Joong Ki shared, per KBiZoom.
The "Descendants of the Sun" actor added that he does not want to get bored with his work, so he tries his best to get projects overseas. "After finishing the release schedule for 'Hopeless,' I'll go abroad to audition for some projects. I've always failed before, so I hope to pass this time. I have an increasing desire to try acting in different cultural contexts and diverse industries," Song Joong Ki said.
As for his goal as an actor, Joong Ki shared he wants to "expand a bit" and "become a larger mountain," which is why he embraces the challenges that come his way. "I hope to become an actor who makes you look forward to seeing what I do," he said, per The Strait Times.
Song Joong Ki Publicly Seen With Katy Louise Saunders Recently
Meanwhile, Song Joong Ki was recently sighted with his wife, Katy Louise Saunders. The couple reportedly graced the wedding of the "Vincenzo" star's younger sister at a wedding center in Seoul on October 14. Interestingly, this marks the British actress' first public appearance since giving birth to their son in June.
Joong Ki and Katy sported matching black outfits for the intimate family celebration. However, what truly became the center of attention is the undeniable admiration of the "Arthdal Chronicles" star for his loving wife.
Going by the photos that made rounds online, Song Joong Ki's eyes remained fixed on his wife. The Hallyu star also did not leave Katy's side in a way that spoke volumes of their deep connection and romance.
