Song Joong Ki recently attended a press conference for his latest drama tvN’s “Arthdal Chronicles,” and he shared what changed after marrying Song Hye Kyo. Although the interview was for his drama with Jang Dong Gun, Kim Ok Bin and Kim Ji Won, the actor was asked if something has changed since getting married.
As Soompi reported, in response, Joong Ki shared that nothing much really changed. He explained that except for the peace of mind that his marriage to Hye Kyo has brought him, there is not much as everything else remained the same.
“There’s nothing big that’s changed. I could possibly call it gaining tranquility of the mind, and I think that’s something that’s changed,” he said. “Other married people might feel the same way.”
Song Joong Ki went on to share how his wife Song Hye Kyo has supported him while filming “Arthdal Chronicles.” He said that his wife told him to do well and focus on his work, and this gave him extra energy to finish the filming well. He added that his better half is actually a fan of his drama’s writers and director, so she really wants him to do well.
Meanwhile, Song Joong Ki’s next project was already announced this week. He was confirmed to star with Kim Tae Ri for a sci-fi movie titled “Lightning Ship.” As per South Korea’s Star, Huayi Tencent Entertainment, a Chinese entertainment production company based in Hong Kong, invested heavily in this project with it's KRW5 billion or US$4.2 million funding.
Merry Christmas, the Korean distribution company, said that having Huayi on board for Song Joong Ki’s new film is a big advantage because it means that they can also distribute the movie in China. “Huayi Tencent is an entertainment investment company that represents not only the Chinese market but also the Asian market,” Merry Christmas’ CEO Yoo Jung Hoon said. “We are very glad that their investment increased the possibility of distribution in the Chinese market and showed the high possibility of success for ‘Lightning Ship’ in a global market.”
“Lightning Ship” starring Song Joong Ki will begin filming in July while “Arthdal Chronicles” will premiere on June 1 on tvN.
