On December 8, PlayStation fans will get the chance to avail a new PlayStation Now subscription for just USD100 for 12 months.
In a blog post, the offer is on a limited time only basis at USD99.99, or at less than USD9 per month. The subscription will reportedly include access to hundreds of PS3 games, with access to new games available each month. Existing PlayStation Now subscribers can purchase the limited offer annual subscription on Sony’s PlayStation Store in order to extend their current one-month or three-month subscriptions.
GameSpot said Sony is offering the all-you-can-play subscription to the streaming service at a 55 percent discount as compared to the usual rates of USD20 per month or USD45 for a three-month subscription. On the other hand, CNET notes that it would still be a question of balancing the price and the subscription offer, which could be an inconvenience if players will encounter inconsistent performance and lack of sufficient titles.
