Starbucks fans can start the season with extra cheer as the coffee giant reveals its 2024 holiday cup collection. With four vibrant designs capturing the “Merrier Together” theme, Starbucks aims to bring festive joy to each cup, set to debut on November 7.

Starbucks’ Creative Team Unveils Four Festive Holiday Cup Designs

Starbucks is preparing to launch its highly anticipated 2024 holiday collection, beginning with festive Christmas cups. Known for its seasonal offerings, Starbucks’ holiday releases are a staple for fans, featuring specialty drinks, pastries, and themed merchandise like tumblers and mugs.

This year, Starbucks unveiled its holiday cup designs over the weekend, giving fans a sneak peek on Instagram and TikTok. The video introduced Starbucks’ creative team and showcased four unique designs, each incorporating bold red, green, and pink holiday colors. The designers shared the creative process and explained the inspirations behind each cup's look. These holiday cups, set to accompany Starbucks’ limited-time seasonal beverages, will officially be available starting November 7, 2024.

Starbucks’ ‘Merrier Together’ Theme Brings Vintage Charm and Festive Warmth to 2024 Holiday Cups

The 2024 theme, "Merrier Together," is woven throughout the holiday campaign and is evident in the cup designs, which feature vintage-inspired graphics reminiscent of old ornaments and peppermints. A scalloped motif, echoing the Starbucks siren logo, adorns the sleeve, while small badges on the back allow baristas to write holiday messages for customers. Kristy Cameron, Starbucks’ Creative Director, shared that the design process was driven by a desire to convey the warmth and festive joy of the holiday season to Starbucks’ customers and partners alike.

Here’s a look at each design and its inspiration:

  • Warm Wishes: Inspired by coffee cups coming together, this design depicts interconnected dots symbolizing holiday lights and the joy of sharing a warm drink with loved ones.
  • Joyful Connection: Taking cues from the coffee roasting process at Starbucks Reserve Roasteries, this design mirrors the circular motion of beans cooling on a metal tray, symbolizing togetherness through overlapping circles.
  • Lyrical Landscape: With vibrant lines representing holiday ribbons and green coffee-growing hills, this design merges red, green, and pink to evoke a festive gift-giving spirit.
  • Siren Chorus: Inspired by Starbucks’ iconic siren, this design features striped holiday charms in red, green, and white. The charms echo the siren's flowing lines and harmoniously celebrate the holiday season.

While hot beverages will be served in these intricate holiday cups, Starbucks has also updated its clear cold cups with wavy lines beside the siren logo to create a festive look.
