“Suits” season 8 aired its 10th episode, titled “Managing Partner,” on Sept. 19 and that was the end of the first part. The show divides one season into two segments, so it is now on break after the fall finale.
Executive producer Aaron Korsh shared that the show will continue with the story after Louis finally secured his managing partner position in the Zane Specter Litt law firm. He had wanted this position for a long time, but do the other partners and associates accept his new post in the company?
Via TV Line, Korsh said that Harvey will eventually accept it. He went on to say that in the second part of “Suits” season 8, the first two episodes will center on how Louis’s colleagues, especially Zane, Donna, and Harvey, will accept him as a new partner. It will be all about acceptance and perhaps a bit of transition since Louis now holds a higher post in the law firm.
Moreover, the EP revealed that although everyone will acknowledge Louis as a managing partner, if he is to pick who among the people had the hardest time accepting the reality, it would be Harvey Reginald Specter (Gabriel Macht), and next is Donna Paulsen (Sarah Rafferty). The latter feels a little burdened too since she is somehow responsible for putting him in charge. She thought she must make sure that Louis will not mess up and everything should go well in the firm.
Another major spoiler for “Suits” season 8 is that a new cast member is coming. Former “Grimm” star Sasha Roiz has been tapped to play Thomas Kessler, CEO of a high-end furniture design company, Deadline reported.
Thomas is one of Zane Specter Litt Wheeler Williams’s longtime clients and he recently needed the services of the law firm. Donna volunteers to help him, and as she finds him attractive, the CEO also appears to be interested in her.
The report indicated that Thomas will be Donna’s new love interest in “Suits” season 8 part 2. Aaron Korsh previously disclosed that they will delve more into the law firm’s COO’s personal life and this narrative may last for more than three episodes.
As for “Suits” season 8’s premiere date, USA Network has not announced it yet. However, Express suggests that it seems that episode 11 will air sometime in March 2019.
