Fans who have been wanting to see Donna (Sarah Rafferty) and Harvey (Gabriel Macht) together for almost a decade might enjoy their final episodes together in “Suits” season 9. The first promo video opens with the steamy “Darvey” encounter as if suggesting there will be more of that to come in summer.
One of the long-running storylines of the show is this romantic tension between Donna and Harvey. At one point, there will be scenes where it would seem there is a chance of them being together only to be lost in the middle of all the chaos in their law firm. The season 8 finale was different and has since given viewers more hope that Darvey would be a real relationship in “Suits” season 9.
What was different in that major Darvey scene in the season 8 finale was the fact that they both genuinely recognized their feelings for one another. An ending this huge will certainly be a good point pick up from in “Suits” season 9 and showrunner Aaron Korsh promised they will.

However, the jury is still out whether Darvey is getting the ultimate happy ending in “Suits” season 9. “Given that I can always change course at the end of any and every season, nothing is set in stone. … As I write this, you never know what could happen at the very end,” Korsh told Deadline.
Season 8 ended on a good note but this does not mean “Suits” season 9 will be all peaceful. Donna and Harvey might be long-time colleagues and fleeting lovers but finally admitting they love each other is entirely new territory. Korsh told Entertainment Weekly that the final series installment will be showing these characters adjusting to this “level of relationship” while dealing with the aftermath of Harvey almost getting disbarred and the firm’s fraud case.
The exact release date of “Suits” season 9 is still unknown. However, the promo video confirms it will be in summer that will most likely be sometime between June and July.
