The Tekken 8 x Nike Air Foamposite One "Kazuya" will be exclusively available to attendees of EVO2024 in Las Vegas through SNKRS Shock Drop—additionally, a second colorway inspired by the character Jin was disclosed during the live-stream event.
Nike has entered a unique initiative with the fighting game franchise Tekken, which revolves around the Nike Air Foamposite One. This partnership is one of the most unexpected of the year. That's correct: Nike will shortly release the Tekken 8 Foamposites.
The Tekken 8 x Nike Air Foamposite One "Kazuya" design is truly unique. The upper is entirely iridescent, and a croc-skin overlay is designed to resemble the exotic leathers found on the jacket of Kazuya Mishima, one of the central characters of the Tekken series. The smooth black plate replaces the carbon-fiber plate at the midfoot, and the suede on the collar that encircles the ankle and lacing is replaced with leather, adding a touch of luxury to the design.
According to Sneaker News, the left tongue and insole feature Tekken 8 iconography, while the translucent rubber reveals Mishima's signature Fist technique in the distinctive outsole design. The shoe packaging for the Tekken Foamposites is distinct from a traditional shoe box in that it splits open in the center, securing both shoes with elastic straps.

The timing of the official images is unlikely to be coincidental, as the release is scheduled to occur on July 8, 2024, marking National Video Game Day. Sneaker News has confirmed that a release is planned for September, although it is conceivable that it will occur earlier.
This collaboration is not as arbitrary as it appears to actual Tekken enthusiasts. In the earliest character bio from Tekken 1, Kazuya Mishima, the inspiration behind the design of this Foamposite, is verified to be a sneaker collector.
