HUNTINGTON STATION, NY , July 31, 2017 -- Teq, a leader in online professional development for teachers, has announced a major update to its online Professional development (PD) platform. The new Teq Online PDTM will include improved administrative features for aligning PD to school technology initiatives, further integration with popular learning management systems (LMS), a redesigned user interface, and a new lineup of content to be added to the growing library of over 900 PD courses and certifications. The new Teq Online PD will be available to customers during the first week of September.
“We’re collaborating with customers to make our solution the best online PD experience possible,” said Joseph Sanfilippo, Director of eLearning for Teq. “In addition to providing a dramatic improvement to the user experience, these updates will help our customers make better PD decisions for their staff, and enable our PD content to be distributed through their preferred LMS.”
Some of the features being included in the Teq Online PD update include single sign-on with Google and Clever. This will allow teachers to log in once to their district’s teaching and learning platform, and be automatically signed in to Teq Online PD.
“Ease of use is key to the success of Teq Online PD,” said Damian Scarfo, CEO of Teq. “Single-sign on options, the improved interface, as well as creating a great online video experience that compares to what our customers experience with a service like Netflix is really important to us.”
Customers can also expect a host of new courses and content to be available when the new Teq Online PD launches in September, including an updated Microsoft for Education certification program, and new STEM education topics like Google CS, Makey Makey, 3D printing with Ultimaker.
Teq Online PD content is now approved for Pennsylvania Act 48 Continuing Professional Education Requirements. This is in addition to state approvals from Arkansas, Massachusetts, Montana, Nevada, New York, Texas, and Wyoming.
