A Tesla Cybertruck has commanded a jaw-dropping $320,000 in Indonesia, three times its price in the US, setting a new benchmark in the luxury electric vehicle market.
$320,000 Tesla Cybertruck Imported to Indonesia
In the US, a Tesla Cybertruck normally sells for about $100,000, but the first one sold in Indonesia fetched almost Rp 5 billion (about $320,000), or three times that amount.
The Jakarta Globe reports that Glamor Auto Boutique imported the electric pickup truck and disclosed that it was brought in to fulfill a specific customer request.
Glamor Auto Boutique's Sales Manager Sigit Tedi clarified that the import of the Tesla Cybertruck was not driven by speculation but by a genuine desire to meet a customer's needs. Even before it came, it had sold out. We facilitated the import of the Cybertruck to Indonesia after receiving a request to do so. According to Sigit, it was on orders.
Tesla Cybertruck Hits Indonesian Market with Record Price
With a substantial premium over its US cost, the Tesla Cybertruck sold for nearly Rp 5 billion on the road (OTR) in Jakarta. Despite the high cost, importing the vehicle to Indonesia was a breeze, and it only took three or four months for delivery.
From the moment the client made the order until it was delivered, it took around three months. According to Sigit, the delivery period to Indonesia from Glamor is approximately three to four months. Additionally, he mentioned that the vehicle paperwork was handled promptly, taking approximately three months.
An all-wheel-drive (AWD) system is equipped with the dual electric motors at the front and back of the Glamor Auto Boutique-imported Tesla Cybertruck, which is part of the Dual Motor Foundation Series.
Dual Motor Foundation Series Powers Tesla Cybertruck
The electric pickup has a single-speed transmission and can deliver 593 horsepower and 711 Nm of torque to all wheels. In a few 3.8 seconds, the Cybertruck can go from 0 to 100 km/h.
The Tesla Cybertruck has proportions of 5,682 mm for length, 2,032 mm for width, 1,740 mm for height, and 3,634 mm for wheelbase. Approximately 500 kilometers can be covered by the vehicle's combined driving range.
