Tesla has officially debuted the improved Model 3, also known in EV circles as the Model 3 Highland, in North America.
Tesla Model 3 Highland Launches in North America
As of this writing, the updated Model 3 is available for purchase in the United States, Canada, Mexico, and Puerto Rico. With this update, the prior generation Model 3 is being phased out, Teslarati reported.
Tesla's web page for the Model 3 Highland highlighted the vehicle's main advancements over its predecessor. These include the vehicle's range of up to 341 miles per charge and a redesigned appearance designed for optimal aerodynamics.
Tesla also focused on two new colors for the Model 3 Highland: Stealth Gray and Ultra Red, as well as new efficiency-optimized wheels. The electric vehicle manufacturer also highlighted the Model 3 Highland's entirely revamped interior, which boasts a wraparound style and configurable ambient lighting.
The Model 3 Highland's interior features include quality materials, a great sound system, an 8" back display, heated seats, and wireless charging stations, according to the EV maker. Of course, Tesla emphasized the Model 3 Highland's quieter cabin, which critics have hailed since it was first introduced last year.
In North America, the Tesla Model 3 Highland is available in two variants: the standard Rear Wheel Drive (RWD) and the Long Range Dual Motor All Wheel Drive (AWD), with prices starting at $38,990 and $45,990, respectively. The Model 3 Performance, the top-of-the-line version of the all-electric car and perhaps Tesla's most enjoyable vehicle to drive, is not yet available on the revised vehicle's order website.
The standard Tesla Model 3 Highland has an EPA estimated range of 272 miles, a top speed of 125 mph, and a 0-60 time of 5.8 seconds. The Model 3 Long Range Dual Motor AWD has an EPA-estimated range of 341 miles per charge, a top speed of 125 mph, and a 0-60 time of 4.2 seconds.

Pearl White Multicoat and Blue Multicoat paint cost an additional $1,000, Solid Black paint costs an additional $1,500, and Ultra Red paint costs $2,000 more. The Model 3 Highland's 19-inch Nova wheels cost $1,500, while the Black and White interior costs $1,000.
Similar to other Tesla vehicles, the Model 3 Highland includes Basic Autopilot as standard. Customers could, however, upgrade to Enhanced Autopilot, which includes Navigate on Autopilot, Auto Land Change Autopark, Summon, and Smart Summon, for an additional $6,000.
