Ahead of the Monday night premiere of the new season of “The Bachelorette,” Rachel Lindsay went on a promotional run to spill a little bit about the show.
Earlier, the 32 year-old attorney and former “The Bachelor” contestant has already revealed that she finally found the One in the 13th Season of the show. She recently told The Hollywood Reporter that her ultimate choice was not based on gender.
"In my final decision, I just went with my heart and the person I found my forever with… I'm very much so in love and very much so engaged," she said.
Although there are expectations and pressure about race in the latest season (she herself is the first black “Bachelorette” in the show’s history), she also shared some things about her fiance, whom she is obliged to keep a secret until the final rose ceremony, “[He is] confident, direct, self-aware, a sense of humor, great smile, knows what he wants as far as the same things that I want — a marriage and a family. Also that he likes sports — that’s a big deal for me. He doesn’t need to play them, but needs to like them. And someone with good integrity.”
Meanwhile, the other star of the recently-concluded “The Bachelor,” Corinne Olympios, will be in “The Bachelorette” season premiere, People.com said. Apparently, she is one of Rachel’s confidants, which also include Raven Gates, Alexis Waters and Kristina Schulman.
When Rachel shared about her nerves coming into the competition, Corinne advised, “I feel like you need to totally let your feelings be in control of all of this. You need to give them all a chance and let your feelings be like, ‘Yep!’ or ‘Nope!’ ”
