“The Blacklist” season 6 has a lot to reveal as the previous installment presented many mysteries to solve. The upcoming episodes will focus on Raymond “Red” Reddington (James Spader) and Elizabeth “Liz” Keen (Megan Boone) because their surprising newly discovered link is already a mystery itself.
Moreover, Reddington is being suspected of being an impostor and this happened after Liz found out that the bones in the bag originally found by Mr. Kaplan (Susan Blommaert) belonged to the fugitive turned FBI-informant. If he is really fake, then what is his real identity?
There were many theories about it but the most popular one is that Raymond Reddington is a twin of the deceased. They are identical so it is easy to pass as the other, and with regards to their fingerprints in FBI’s database, the existing Raymond may have switched it or someone else did for him.
Cinema Blend notes that the twins may have planned this but the reason for the swap is yet to be uncovered. Another theory is that the current Raymond Reddington may really be an impostor who had surgery to look like the real Red.
In any case, as for the other focus of “The Blacklist” season 6, which is Liz, she may show a character change that will shock viewers. She was proven to be related to Reddington, who is originally a fugitive, so having his DNA may mean that she also has that wicked nature in her.
In fact, show creator Jon Bokenkamp previously revealed to Entertainment Tonight, "She has some skills that are a little bit on the dark side."
With this statement, we could be seeing Liz in “The Blacklist” season 6, doing something that is evil-ish. She may unleash her bad side at some point and that will be a huge twist to the story.
“The Blacklist” season 6 has no release date yet but based on available details, it will arrive in 2019.
