“The Curse of Oak Island” season 7 episode 12 will be more thrilling to watch as Rick and Marty Lagina, along with their team of experts, have uncovered something that somehow confirmed some of the theories related to the Oak Island.
As posted on History “The Curse of Oak Island” season 7 episode 12 has been titled “Fortified,” and its official synopsis reads: “New evidence suggests there was French activity on Oak Island decades before the discovery of the Money Pit and the team may have finally uncovered definitive proof the swamp was man-made centuries ago.”
Short recap
In the last episode, the team scrambled to find more things that they could because a storm is coming. They are worried because the hurricane will surely flood the swamp and other areas that they dug up, which means all their efforts could be washed away by the hurricane Dorian.
Needless to say, the natural disaster will surely interrupt their progress, and they would need to start again from the beginning in terms of digging and draining the areas that they are checking out. They are also close to a major discovery, and they don’t want their works to go to waste, so they are working fast and looking around whatever they could fin before the storm.
Is the curse on the island real?
“The Curse of Oak Island” season 7 episode 12 will continue with the team struggling to race against time as the Dorian approach. They are convinced that they are very close to the Money Pit now, and with the hurricane, Rick Lagina said that the curse could be real as some forces may be stopping them from finding the treasures.
Later, “The Curse of Oak Island” season 7, episode 12 also showed the aftermath of the storm, and as they have expected, a trail of damage has left their workplace submerged. The swamp that they tried hard to drained has been filled with water again, and the team was visibly frustrated for this. Then again, they will continue the search, and Rick Lagina voiced out his feelings by saying, “I'm never going to give up.”
What else to expect
“The Curse of Oak Island” season 7 episode 12 will also feature Chipp Reid, a historian who said that the kind of structures that they found was usually built on dry land and set up close to the waterline as possible so they could not be what they think it is. However, fans pointed out via Reddit discussion forum that the Oak Island is sinking so those structures could have been above the ground, on dry land, and above the water level, in the early 1700s. And as mentioned in the synopsis, these structures could also be evidence that the French have landed on the island for the treasures.
“The Curse of Oak Island” season 7 episode 12 is set to arrive on Feb. 4 at 9 p.m. on History.
